Production Supervisor : Plastic Moulding

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Production Supervisor with hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding to oversee and manage daily production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising shift activities, maintaining production quality, ensuring optimal machine utilization, and leading the moulding team to meet production targets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:Production Management:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the injection moulding shop floor.
• Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and moulds as per production schedules.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
• Ensure all production targets (output, efficiency, rejection rate) are met per shift.

Quality & Process Control:

• Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to specified dimensions and standards.
• Identify moulding defects (short shot, flash, warpage, burn marks, etc.) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support in process setting and troubleshooting with process engineers or technicians.

Team Supervision:

• Lead, motivate, and guide machine operators, technicians, and helpers during shifts.
• Conduct on-the-job training and enforce discipline and safety protocols.

Mould & Material Handling:

• Coordinate with tool room for mould changeovers and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure proper loading/unloading and handling of raw materials (plastics like PP, ABS, Nylon, etc.).
• Maintain accurate shift-wise production reports, downtime logs, and rejection analysis.

Safety & Housekeeping:

• Enforce safety norms and ensure PPE compliance.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping on the shop floor.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Plastic, or Production Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in plastic injection moulding production, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of injection moulding machines (e.g., Arburg, Haitian, Ferromatik, Toshiba, etc.).
• Knowledge of mould changeover, basic troubleshooting, and process parameters.
• Familiarity with common polymers and additives used in moulding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and inspection standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
