Production Supervisor (Orthopedic Unit)

You will be responsible for Production Planning & Execution, where you will develop and implement production schedules based on sales and dispatch plans. Your role will involve monitoring machine utilization, coordinating across shifts for smooth workflow, and minimizing wastage on various machines such as 5-ply, 3-ply corrugators, flexo printers, rotary/die-cutting, auto folder-gluer, etc. In addition, you will oversee Team Management by supervising and leading a team of supervisors, operators, and helpers. You will assign responsibilities, monitor performance, implement skill improvement initiatives, and ensure discipline and high morale on the shop floor. Your duties will also include Quality Assurance, where you will collaborate with the Quality department to maintain in-process and final product quality. You will be responsible for ensuring printing accuracy, board strength, and packaging standards are met, while promptly identifying and resolving any quality issues. Furthermore, you will be involved in Maintenance Coordination by working with the maintenance team to schedule preventive and breakdown maintenance of all production equipment. Your focus will be on minimizing machine downtime and maintaining proper maintenance logs. Safety & Compliance will be another critical aspect of your role, where you will ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and conduct regular safety drills. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory and environmental regulations, as well as promoting the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). Your responsibilities will also include Reporting & Documentation, where you will maintain daily production reports, machine logs, rejection/wastage data, and analyze production KPIs like OEE, wastage %, shift efficiency, etc. You will present performance reports to senior management regularly.
