Production Operator

Job Description

Role & responsibilities : 1.Operate and monitor production related equipment, reactors, including pumps, tanks and associated machinery to ensure efficient and safe production processes. 2.Provide guidance, training, and support to junior operators to ensure efficiency. 3.Perform routine maintenance tasks like equipment inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent downtime and ensure equipment longevity. 4.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, collaborating with maintenance teams to address more complex issues. 5.Participate in the development and implementation of SOPs to optimize production efficiency and consistent product quality. 6.Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and chemicals, coordination with store to ensure adequate RM & PM availability for production. 7.Assist in the coordination of production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate completion of production targets. 8.Collaboration with the EHS team to maintain a safe working environment by adhering with the safety policies and regulations. 9.Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and operational efficiency enhancements. 10.To ensure compliance with regulatory standards, environmental regulations and company policies. Preferred candidate profile : Overseeing and executing manufacturing processes with precision and efficiency, ensuring the highest quality output. Skill: Good communication Good computer skills Must be able to communicate and develop belongingness in the team Ability to understand concept parameters of own function and integrating with other functions leading to application possibilities. Maintain all safety precaution as per organisation standards. Experience working with and troubleshooting the following: Rotating equipment, heat transfer equipment Utility infrastructure (boilers, cooling tower, air compressors, vacuum system, water treatment.etc.) Experience working with Process and Equipment Controls VFDs, computerized plant and equipment controls such as PLC or DCS, etc. Experience working with distillation, filter presses, centrifuges, batch reactors, basic knowledge of In-process QC and handling of analytical instrument is a significant plus. Must be able to work all shifts / schedules as needed. Ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle competing demands with flexibility. Must be able to possesses strong interpersonal skills Able to exercise independent judgment prior to consultation with supervisor.
