Job Summary

Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

Production Control & Output

• Plan and execute daily production activities to achieve

  maximum output with minimal rejection and downtime

  .
• Ensure timely completion of production targets as per the approved production plan.
  
• Monitor and control productivity, yields, and process efficiency across all sections.
  
• Take full ownership of production performance and output.
  

Specialized Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on expertise in:

• Granulation

  (RMG, FBD, wet & dry granulation)

• Compression

  (high-speed tablet compression machines)

• Coating

  (film coating, conventional & auto coaters)

• Capsule filling

• Primary & secondary packaging

• Ability to troubleshoot process-related issues in granulation, compression, coating, and packing stages.
  
• Support

  process validation, scale-up, and new product introductions

  .

Machine Knowledge (Must Have)

Thorough working knowledge and handling of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packing equipment, including but not limited to:

• Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG)
  
• Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD)
  
• Multimill / Oscillating Granulator
  
• High-speed Tablet Compression Machines
  
• Capsule Filling Machines
  
• Auto Coating Machines
  
• Blister Packing Machines
  
• Strip Packing Machines
  
• Bottle Filling, Capping & Labeling Machines
  
• Liquid Manufacturing & Filling Lines
  

Ability to:

• Monitor machine performance and efficiency
  
• Reduce breakdowns and coordinate with engineering for preventive maintenance
  
• Train operators on correct machine operation and troubleshooting
  

Manpower Management & Discipline

• Command, control, and lead all production staff, operators, and helpers

  .
• Enforce strict

  discipline, punctuality, and GMP behavior

  on the shop floor.
• Allocate duties, monitor performance, and take corrective and disciplinary actions when required.
  
• Conduct regular training for SOPs, GMP, safety, and productivity improvement.
  

GMP, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure strict compliance with

  WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and internal SOPs

  .
• Review and ensure accuracy of

  BMRs, equipment logbooks, and production records

  .
• Coordinate with QA for line clearance, deviations, change controls, and investigations.
  
• Actively participate in

  regulatory and customer audits

  and ensure timely closure of observations.

Interdepartmental Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate effectively with

  QA, QC, Engineering, Stores, and Planning

  departments.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  
• Report production performance, deviations, and improvement plans to management.
  

Qualifications

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm

  (Mandatory)

Experience

• 812 years

  of relevant pharmaceutical production experience

• 3–5 years

  in a Production Manager / Senior Production leadership role
• Proven experience in

  Tablets, Capsules, and Oral Liquid dosage forms
