Production Manager Plastic Injection Moulding -Thin Wall Products

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
• Oversee the supervision of plastic injection molding processes, ensuring consistent product quality.
• Coordinate tooling design, maintenance, and calibration to optimize cycle times and product accuracy.
• Monitor and control raw material supply, ensuring compatibility of RM types with product specifications.
• Implement and oversee process parameter settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time) for various molding techniques.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and automation equipment, including robotics and conveyor systems.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures, including in-line inspection, final testing, and adherence to ISO and other relevant standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, 5S and waste reduction programs.
• Supervise mold and equipment maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime and ensuring high equipment availability.
• Oversee safety protocols specific to plastic processing machinery and RM handling, fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
• Work closely with R&D teams to troubleshoot product design issues and optimize mold designs for durability and performance.
• Prepare production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data to drive efficiency improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, or Plastic
• Proven experience in plastics manufacturing, with specific exposure to thin wall injection molding, ( 15-20 years).
• Strong technical knowledge of plastic molding processes, including parameters and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with plastic material properties, RM selection, and their impact on product quality and durability.
• Experience with mold design, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of automation and machinery integration in plastic manufacturing.
• Understanding of safety standards related to plastic processing equipment .
• Thin wall products experience is must.
