What will a science/maths graduate do in jewellery making?
Actually a lot. Jewellery production is about basic mechanics, manufacturing techniques and production data management. The impact of work on the final product and customer experience is be very powerful.
1. Help production manager in running jewellery manufacturing operation- from material issue and control to controlling production queue.
2. Support data-driven culture- Develop reports on production, quality assurance, capacity and material planning
3. Understand the materials well- should learn to identify and sort gemstones so that the output passes quality assurance tests
4. Aid in development of quality assurance frame- Develop and execute final and in-process statistical quality assurance plan and execute it on a daily basis
The ideal candidate should have the following:
1. A graduate degree in engineering/ science with at least 60% mark or equivalent CGPA
2. Good marks in mathematics in classes X &XII will be a plus. Please DO NOT apply if you dont like working with numbers.
3. Ability to analyze data, is essential.
