Job Description

As a Production Engineering Technical Lead at Cisco, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, optimization, and maintenance of production systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence. - Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in cloud environments. - Optimize performance, cost, and efficiency of cloud infrastructure using cloud-native tools and services. - Supervise infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. - Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement resolutions. - Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to identify performance bottlenecks and downtime proactively. - Collaborate with DevX application teams to automate and streamline deployment using CI/CD pipelines. - Lead incident management processes, including troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution of production issues. To qualify for this position, you should have: - A BS/MS in Computer Science and a minimum of 12+ years of experience in production engineering or site reliability. - Proficiency in Container platforms, networking, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architectures, and distributed systems. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD) and version control systems (e.g., Github). - Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), and incident management frameworks.
