Production Artist

Role & responsibilities

• - Prepare and format packaging artwork, key line drawings, and mechanicals according to supplied specifications and printer requirements.
• - Review layouts and files for accuracy, resolution, and compliance with brand and print standards.
• - Utilize design software (especially Adobe Illustrator) to finalize, edit, and optimize graphics and layouts for print production.
• - Ensure correct color profiles, bleed, trim marks, and font usage in final print-ready files.
• - Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production staff to interpret design requirements and implement feedback.
• - Perform quality control checks to catch errors before production and troubleshoot technical issues with the production team or printers.
• - Maintain organized digital asset libraries, catalogs, and version control for packaging artworks.
• - Archive designs, fonts, and dielines for easy access in future projects.
• - Stay updated with packaging, printing, and graphic design trends and techniques to improve quality and efficiency.
