Production and Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with production processes

  : Performing various tasks on the production line, such as assembly, mixing/blending raw materials, packaging, and preparing goods for shipment.

• Operating and maintaining equipment

  : Learning to use and perform basic maintenance and cleaning of production machinery and tools under supervision.

• Quality control and testing

  : Assisting with inspections and tests to ensure products meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Monitoring and documentation

  : Tracking production parameters, logging data (batch numbers, timings), and completing necessary reports and documentation as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Ensuring safety and compliance

  : Adhering strictly to health, safety, and quality standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in healthcare or chemical handling protocols in the paint industry.

• Collaboration and communication

  : Working closely with supervisors, senior engineers, and team members to meet production targets and resolve operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education

  : A high school diploma or GED is often required for general production worker roles, while a degree (e.g., B.Sc. in Chemistry, or a B.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) might be needed for more technical or engineer-trainee positions.

• Technical aptitude

  : A basic understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to learn how to operate equipment and use production software (like ERP systems).
