Production and Planning Control (Off role)

Role & responsibilities Production Planning Develop master production schedules aligned to demand forecasts, sales orders, and capacity. Allocate machinery, workforce, and material resources efficiently. Regularly update schedules to reflect changes (e.g., order modifications, machine breakdowns). 2. Inventory & Material Management Determine and track material requirements (MRP cycle). Coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal inventory levelsavoiding shortages and excesses. Regularly reconcile physical inventory and resolve discrepancies. 3. Production Control & Monitoring Monitor production progress against schedules; flag and address delays. Investigate root causes of variances (scrap, downtime, rework) and drive corrective actions. Update management daily/weekly on performance KPIs: OEE, throughput, delivery, inventory turns. 4. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Sales. Communicate production status, bottlenecks, and schedule changes proactively. Coordinate capacity planning with Supply Chain and HR (e.g., workforce shifts, overtime). 5. Continuous Improvement Analyze production workflows to identify inefficiencies. Support Lean initiatives: 5S, line balancing, SMED, process standardization. Document best practices and train staff on planning/control tools. 6. Systems & Reporting Maintain and enhance ERP/MRP systems (Bill of Materials, routing, lead times). Generate reports: production schedules, backlog, inventory turns, capacity utilization. Ensure data accuracy in production planning modules. Qualification: Qualifications & Skills Education : Graduation in any degree. Experience : 15years in PPC, production control, MRP/ERP implementation, preferably in discrete or process manufacturing. Tools : Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP PP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.); strong Excel skills. Desired Competencies : Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma frameworks. Perks and benefits Canteen ESI PF Transport
