Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. You will be responsible for performing various tests on soya products to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Monitoring the production process to identify and resolve any quality-related issues will be a key part of your role. In terms of documentation and compliance, you will need to maintain accurate product quality records and assist in preparing quality reports for internal and external audits. Ensuring compliance with ISO and other relevant certifications such as FSSAI and HACCP will also be essential. Collaborating closely with production teams, you will identify areas for process improvement to enhance product quality and consistency. Your role will involve suggesting corrective and preventive actions to eliminate non-conformities and monitoring the effectiveness of these actions. You will support the QA Manager in enforcing company policies and best practices across the plant. Additionally, you will work with R&D teams during the development of new products to ensure quality standards are met during the transition to production. Monitoring trials for new formulations and ensuring compliance with company quality standards will be part of your responsibilities. In the event of customer complaints, you will investigate and initiate root cause analysis. You may also assist in product recall processes if necessary and take appropriate corrective actions. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field. Certification in Quality Management such as ISO 9001 would be a plus. Ideally, you should have 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with a preference for experience in the soya or plant-based food sector. Your strong understanding of food safety standards, quality control processes, and regulatory compliance will be critical. Familiarity with certifications like ISO, HACCP, and FSSAI, along with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, will set you up for success in this role. Your ability to work both independently and within a team environment, coupled with strong communication skills, will be essential.
