Product R&D Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at UST, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical subsystems and assemblies that belong to the master BOM of the complete system according to fit, form, and functional requirements. Your role will involve demonstrating expanded conceptual knowledge in your discipline and broadening your capabilities. You will also extend your capability for the design of tools and fixtures, if any, to enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of components and sub-assemblies. Working with cross-functional teams for extended design roles and simulation requirements will be a key part of your responsibilities. You should be able to interpret simulation data and provide valuable solutions for further optimizations. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for designing and developing mechanical subsystems and assemblies according to fit, form, and functional requirements - Extend capability for designing tools and fixtures for handling, assembly, and disassembly of components - Work with cross-functional teams for extended design roles and simulation requirements - Provide engineering support to optimize mechanical engineering layouts or schematics based on customer fab utility requirements - Generate production drawings and BOM list for product release - Coordinate with cross-regional teams to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems - Prepare test plans for components as needed and participate in assembly build support - Provide guidance to field engineers during builds, including traveling to customer places when necessary - No supervisory responsibilities but provide informal guidance to new team members Qualifications Required: - BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical Engg.) / ME/ M.Tech with any Mechanical Engg related specialization - 8-12 years of experience for Sr. Engineers - Working experience on NX, Teamcenter - Knowledgeable on vacuum technology in the semiconductor field About UST: UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider, working side by side with the world's best companies to make a real impact through transformation.
