Product R&D Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at UST, your role involves the design and development of mechanical subsystems and assemblies within the master bill of materials of the complete system. Your responsibilities include: - Demonstrating expanded conceptual knowledge in your discipline and broadening capabilities - Extending capability for the design of tools and fixtures to enable component handling and assembly/disassembly - Collaborating with cross-functional teams for simulation requirements and interpreting simulation data for further optimizations - Providing engineering support to optimize mechanical engineering layouts according to customer fab utility requirements - Generating production drawings and BOM lists for product release - Coordinating with cross-regional teams to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems of moderate to complex difficulty - Preparing test plans for components and participating in assembly build support - Guiding field engineers during builds, which may require travel to customer locations - Providing informal guidance to new team members Skills required for this role include proficiency in Design, CAD, and CREO. You should have experience working with NX and Teamcenter and possess knowledge of vacuum technology in the semiconductor field.
