Product Owner SAP Master Data Governance

As a Product Owner for the Master Data Governance (MDG) domain within the Distribution Management team, you will play a crucial role in defining and prioritizing the MDG product roadmap. Your responsibilities will include writing user stories, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality data solutions that align with enterprise goals. You will serve as the voice of the customer, leading backlog refinement and driving data governance initiatives across customer, dealer, and product domains. It will be your responsibility to own and prioritize the Dealer/Customer/Product data sprint backlog to maximize business value. Additionally, you will write, manage, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria, lead backlog grooming, and collaborate with teams to estimate and decompose stories. Your role will also involve active participation in agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives. You will need to effectively communicate the product roadmap to stakeholders and advocate for strong data management practices. Identifying and resolving blockers, acting as a knowledge broker between business and technical teams, supporting UAT, product demos, release planning, and documentation are also key aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in data management/analytics. Demonstrated Product Ownership experience in data governance initiatives is essential, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodology and sprint-based delivery. Preferred skills include experience in multi-brand, global digital ecosystems, strong skills in stakeholder management, data analysis, and issue resolution, as well as the ability to synthesize complex data issues into clear communications for senior leadership. Exposure to compliance, governance, and risk management related to data will be beneficial.
