Position Overview of Product Engineer

Our client is looking for a Product Engineer who would be responsible for conducting engineering reviews of both current and new products, utilizing advanced tools such as SolidWorks and 3DExperience Simulia for linear and nonlinear finite element analysis. This role emphasises report creation, ensuring all designs are robust and meet industry standards.

The position requires expertise in 3D modeling and drafting, with proficiency in using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3DExperience/Simulia. The Product Engineer will play a critical role in verifying the technical integrity of product designs, optimising them for performance and manufacturability.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering reviews of existing and new product designs.
• Perform linear and nonlinear finite element analysis using SolidWorks and 3DExperience Simulia (or other software if deemed appropriate).
• Develop comprehensive reports on analysis findings and design evaluations.
• Ensure product designs meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings to support product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design changes and improvements.
• Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and recommendations.
• Stay updated with the latest engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of design processes and analyses.

Key Measurements

• Quality and accuracy of engineering reviews and analysis reports.
• Effectiveness of design modifications and improvements.
• Client satisfaction with product performance and reliability.
• Adherence to project timelines and deliverables.

Relationship & Reporting Management

• Works closely with Engineering Lead and Technical Director.
• Collaborates with Design and Engineering Team, R&D, and other relevant departments.
• Works closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure product alignment.
• Engages with third-party vendors and industry professionals as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering analysis and design review.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3DExperience/Simulia for 3D modeling and analysis.
• Experience with linear and nonlinear finite element analysis.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
