Product Assessor / Senior Product Assessor Orthopaedic and Dental

As a Product Assessor at SGS, you will be responsible for conducting technical file reviews to ensure that products meet safety standards and perform as intended in compliance with UK and EU medical device regulations. Your role will involve supporting CE marking activities and engaging with colleagues and clients to communicate product assessment details and minimize risks associated with medical device certification. To qualify for this position, you should hold a degree or equivalent experience in medicine, dentistry, biotechnology, engineering, or other relevant fields. You must have at least 4 years of professional experience in the orthopaedic/dental products sector or related fields, with a focus on roles in design, manufacturing, auditing, or research. It is essential to have a minimum of two years of direct involvement in designing, manufacturing, and testing dental products or a deep understanding of the scientific principles behind these products. Having prior experience in conducting orthopaedic or dental product assessments for a Certification/Notified Body will be advantageous for this role. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary, along with proficiency in professional English. Knowledge of orthopaedic and dental devices across various areas such as prosthetic joint replacements, spinal implants, bone graft substitutes, dental implants, and dental materials is required.
