Job Description

Livestock Sourcing & Procurement

Identify, develop, and manage reliable suppliers including farmers, traders, mandis, and aggregators
Procure animals as per daily/weekly production plans
Negotiate prices while ensuring quality and ethical sourcing
Monitor market trends, seasonal availability, and price fluctuations

Animal Welfare & Transport

Ensure humane handling, loading, and transportation of animals
Coordinate with transporters to minimize stress, injury, or mortality
Monitor unloading and lairage conditions at the plant

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with veterinary, production, and quality teams
Maintain procurement records, supplier data, and daily intake reports
Report procurement costs, mortality, rejections, and yield data
