Procurement Officer

As a Procurement Officer at DUCAB in Bangalore, India, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the procurement of essential materials and services that support the manufacturing processes of the company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and cost-effective supply chain by sourcing materials and establishing partnerships with reliable suppliers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Production, Finance, and Supply Chain, will be essential to maintain operational efficiency and align procurement strategies with the business objectives of DUCAB. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement strategies to support seamless manufacturing operations, managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. It will also involve optimizing inventory levels, forecasting needs, and supporting SAP system updates for efficient materials management. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and supporting cost-saving goals will be a key focus of your role. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or mechanical engineering, with specialized training in Procurement preferred. You should have 1-2 years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of supply chain and logistics, particularly in cabling. Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP MM and PM modules, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills, will be necessary for this role. In addition to the qualifications and experience mentioned, you should possess analytical skills to analyze market trends and forecast demand for data-driven decision-making. Being a proactive problem-solver skilled in identifying and addressing potential supply chain challenges with a solutions-oriented approach will be beneficial.
