Job Summary:

Purpose of the Job – Officer, Procurement
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for civil construction projects. The Officer – Procurement will be responsible for identifying and developing reliable vendors, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications, budgets, and project timelines. This role plays a critical part in supporting uninterrupted site execution by maintaining optimum inventory levels, preventing work delays due to material shortages, and implementing industry-standard procurement best practices. The position requires close coordination with project, estimation, accounts, and stores teams to achieve cost savings, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Purchasing:
  • Identify and evaluate labours, suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Ensure timely procurement of required goods and services.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality and reliability.
  • Cost & Budget Control:
  • Analyze procurement costs and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure purchases align with budgetary constraints.
  • Track market trends to optimize spending.
  • Contract & Compliance Management:
  • Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Manage risk and mitigate supplier-related issues.
  • Inventory & Logistics Coordination:
  • Work with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of goods.
  • Address delays and supply chain disruptions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and purchase orders.
  • Generate reports on spending, supplier performance, and savings.
  • Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Diploma Civil , Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of contract law and vendor compliance.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with occasional supplier visits.
  • May require travel for vendor meetings and negotiations.

Requirement : 2 wheeler and smartphone is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
