Process Development Scientist I

As a Process Development Scientist at Bayer, you will be part of a visionary team dedicated to solving the world's toughest challenges and striving for a world where "Health for all, Hunger for none" is a reality. Your role will focus on route scouting and Chemical Process Development of Bayer's existing and pipeline crop protective agents. You will collaborate with internal and external teams, ensuring experimental work is conducted with the highest safety standards and documented accurately. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct process chemistry research independently, inventing new synthetic routes and manufacturing processes for agrochemical solutions. - Perform experiments for route scouting, process optimization, safety evaluation, and chemo/biocatalytic reaction discovery. - Contribute to Chemical Development Process through laboratory experiments, data interpretation, and process optimization recommendations. - Optimize unit operations with the help of Process Engineer and generate safety data for scale-up of chemical reactions. - Work in R&D laboratories to design new synthetic routes and execute experimental studies for safe and efficient manufacturing processes. - Collaborate with project teams including analytical chemists, process engineers, and project managers. - Stay updated with advancements in chemistry and technologies to address process development challenges. - Follow company, site, and laboratory EHS protocols for a safe working environment. **Qualifications Required:** - M.Sc/M.Pharm in Organic Chemistry with over 8 years of experience or Fresh PhD/PostDoc in Organic Chemistry. - Experience in planning and executing experiments for multistep synthesis of complex organic molecules. - Proficiency in interpreting data and making decisions for future experimentation. - Strong knowledge of modern synthetic methodologies, organic reaction mechanisms, and small molecule analysis techniques. - Ability to work in shifts.,
