Description
Ballestra India is looking for passionate individuals willing to associate themselves with the growing organization in India. Role Purpose: Development of Process Control documents with respect to P&IDs, Process Specification. Understanding Instrumentation Details, Electrical Schematics, Communications Network Architecture, to include in the Process Control documents. Knowledge on Multiple PLC - SCADA Platforms, Understanding the communication Protocols, Deep understanding of PLC logic functions. Review of Vendor documents, Customer specifications, and suggest the Standards. Ability to travel to the site in order to discuss with the customer and other stakeholders about the PLC/DCS-based Automation solutions. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Process Controls Document Preparation I.e. Control Philosophy, Operation sequence Chart, Cause and Effect, interlock list, Alarm list etc. Preparation of Closed control loops and Control Logic Diagrams for plant operations Coordination with other engineering departments, Supporting Package equipment procurement, Interface and networking Concept for Offsite Control System Understanding fundamentals of fluid mechanics and Functions of Equipment i.e, Pumps, Blowers, and instruments Vendor Document Review and coordinating with the vendor to include required controls and safety requirements in process documents. Coordinating with the Automation Engineer for the implementation of Controls as per the Standards and Requirements. Participate in Process Design Review Meeting, P&ID Review meetings and provide input, understanding requirements in terms of Process Controls Attend HAZOP, SIL, and Meetings and provide inputs in terms of Process Controls. Conduct Controls Design reviews on the Projects, along with Process and other department team members. Understanding the customer requirement and developing Standard and Customized Template logics, Screens, faceplate etc, based on the requirement Knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC Panel Drawings, LV motor control centres, the interface of Drives to PLCs, etc. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols like Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet IP, and Modbus is a must. Conducting FAT/SAT for PLC/DCS systems Softwares with Internal and External customers. Specification/MR for I&C (DCS, PLC Field Devices, Final Control Elements, etc.) Other Significant Role Requirements: Lead internal initiatives aimed at collaborating with the cross-functional teams proactively to seek relevant details Proven ability to follow a set of procedures and standards, providing suggestions to new Concepts from established standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including liaising, reporting, documentation, and presentations) Experience in working on Cascade Process loops, PID, Recipe Calculations, and complex Algorithms Proven ability to quickly shift focus from one technical issue to another based on the customer's requirement and commitment. Maintaining Standard Process Controls Document Database. Coordinating with Vendors for the PLC/DCS SAT testing and requirements.
