Job Description The Store In charge is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of inventory, ensuring proper storage, issuance, and documentation of raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts in a manufacturing facility. The role involves maintaining accurate stock records, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth operations in the store to support production and minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management: · Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials (raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods). · Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification to ensure inventory accuracy. · Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement requests to avoid shortages or overstocking. · Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and other inventory control methods. 2. Store Operations: · Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage, pilferage, or deterioration. · Organize the store layout for easy access and efficient material movement. · Supervise loading/unloading of materials and verify quantities against delivery challans. · Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth material flow. 3. Documentation & Compliance: · Maintain up-to-date records (manual/ERP system) of stock movements, GRNs, issue slips, and returns. · Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports for management review. · Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations. 4. Team Supervision: · Train and supervise storekeepers and helpers for efficient store operations. · Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure productivity. 5. Cost Control & Process Improvement: · Identify cost-saving opportunities (reducing wastage, optimizing inventory). · Suggest process improvements for better store management. Qualifications & Skills: · Education: Minimum Graduate in any Discipline · Experience: 2-3 years in store management (manufacturing industry preferred). · Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office & ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.). · Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities. · Other: Knowledge of inventory control, safety standards, and basic accounting. Working Conditions: · Works in a warehouse/store environment. · May require standing for long hours and handling heavy items. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): · Inventory accuracy (%) · Stock turnover ratio · Reduction in material wastage · Timely issuance of materials Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
