Label Unallume Private Limited is an emerging fashion start-up on a mission to craft meaningful, design-led pieces that blend elegance with modern sensibility. As a Print Designer / Illustrator at our fashion startup, you will play a key role in developing original artwork that defines the visual language of our collections. Youll be responsible for creating exclusive prints, patterns, and illustrations that reflect our brand’s identity and resonate with our target audience. Your work will directly contribute to how our garments stand out in a competitive market. Roles & Responsibilities: Concept Development : Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to understand seasonal themes, brand direction, and customer preferences to conceptualize print stories. Print & Illustration Creation : Design original artworks including all-over prints, motifs, illustrations, embroidery layouts, and placement graphics for apparel and accessories. Trend & Reference Research : Stay updated with current fashion and graphic trends, color palettes, and techniques; conduct visual research to gather references and inspiration. Technical Artwork : Prepare detailed, print-ready artwork files (including colorways, repeat patterns, scaling, and placements) for vendors and production teams. Sampling & Corrections : Work closely with the production team during sampling to ensure accurate reproduction of print colors, placements, and quality. Make necessary revisions based on feedback. Collaboration : Partner with garment designers, merchandisers, and branding teams to align the prints with overall collection aesthetics, storytelling, and marketing needs. File & Asset Management : Maintain a well-organized digital archive of design files, iterations, and print samples. Requirements: Strong illustration skills (digital and/or hand-drawn). An eye for color, proportion, detail, and balance in design. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (knowledge of Procreate, CorelDRAW, or similar tools is a plus). A good understanding of fashion textiles, surface design, and print techniques (screen print, digital print, embroidery, etc.). Ability to adapt to different styles (minimal, bold, luxury, playful, etc.) based on the brand’s evolving aesthetic. Strong communication and collaboration skills — ability to take feedback constructively and iterate fast. A portfolio showcasing relevant work in fashion, prints, or textile design.
