Job Description

This role is responsible for producing production-quality software, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with senior architects and distributed teams to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in AI and software engineering and experience in high-performance or distributed computing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce production-quality software that will be delivered to customers.
Mentor, educate, and guide junior engineers.
Document software, plans, and produce time estimates and schedules for assigned work.
Work with customers and senior HPE architects to understand technical requirements and direction.
Operate across geographic boundaries in a distributed software engineering environment.
Write, integrate, and deliver software, software demonstrations, and software integrations.

Required Qualifications:

Doctorate or Master's degree in a related software engineering field.
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Prior production software development experience.
Experience developing production software in C, C++, Fortran, Python, or other relevant languages.
Experience working in an agile software environment using Jira and related tools is highly desirable.
Familiarity or experience with HPC or AI is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong technical skills in AI and software engineering.
Expertise in high-performance or distributed computing.
Ability to deliver production-quality software and perform software integrations.
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Agile software development methodologies.
Experience with multiple programming languages and software tools relevant to AI and HPC.
