What You'll Do:

• Work closely with carrier partners and third-party partners to build products and solutions.
• Analyze and debug field issues related to device performance and stability, including radio frequency (RF) link performance, reliability, and quality, and propose solutions in collaboration with carrier partners.
• Support existing products by providing bug fixes and expanding functionality.
• Build and support user-space libraries and tools.
• Contribute to overall architecture discussions and be a part of an evolving platform offering enhanced consumer and business communication services.
• Resolve interoperability issues between various devices and third-party software components.
• Work with field engineering, operations, and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Share expertise and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers in California and

Experience Were Looking For:

• Extensive experience in telephony and signal processing. Knowledge of modem protocols and alarm panels is a strong plus.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and shell scripting for embedded Linux.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; a self-starter driven to deliver quality work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with audio codecs, echo cancelers, and voice path technologies.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including virtual memory, scheduling, interrupt processing, and device drivers.
• Experience with system testing activities such as feature validation, test description documentation, test strategy creation, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of 5G concepts such as DL/UL scheduling, LTE power control, beamforming fundamentals, and MIMO.
• Understanding of overall wireless systems, including knowledge of PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers. Knowledge of 3GPP Core and RAN systems is a plus.
• Experience with test tools, including protocol analyzers, XCAL/QXDM, Wireshark, channel emulators, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Extensive knowledge of hardware platforms and processor architectures with low-level debugging experience.
• Knowledge of kernel subsystems such as networking, USB, and storage (including filesystems).
• Experience debugging real hardware with tools such as JTAG and KGDB.
• Experience with NXP solutions (i.MX, Layerscape) is a plus. Experience with UEFI on ARM platforms is also desirable.
