Principal Technical Support Engineer - Java/J2EE

You will be the face of Pega, aiming to provide world-class technical support and advice on the use of Pegasystems Products and Applications. Making it easy, pleasant, and rewarding for customers to work with us, you will collaborate with colleagues and customers globally. As the Principal Technical Support Engineer (PTSE) within Global Customer Support (GCS), you will serve as the initial point of contact for customers to address issues, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty through superior support services for Pegas products. Your role as the PTSE involves leveraging your knowledge of Pegasystems products, technical environments, and customer business objectives to drive support cases towards timely and quality resolution, either independently or with other Pega team members. Key qualifications for this role include readiness to work in rotational Support shifts, the ability to propose and implement solutions in a team environment, aptitude for understanding complex technical issues and customer deployments, advanced teamwork and conflict management skills, direct customer interaction abilities, effective communication skills, and experience with J2EE Application Servers and relational databases. In terms of experience, you should have 6 to 9 years in a technical role focusing on Java, J2EE, and databases, with 4+ years as a Java, J2EE software developer, and 2+ years as a J2EE servers administrator. You should demonstrate proficiency in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, OOPS concepts, Multithreading, Exception Handling, Collections concepts, and File systems.
