Job Description

As a Principal Data Analyst at Medtronic, you will be a senior contributor in the Strategic Marketing Operations (SMO) team focusing on driving data-informed decision-making across the EurAsia region. Your role will involve leading complex analyses, translating business challenges into scalable solutions, and designing tools to make insights accessible and actionable for cross-functional teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the development, transformation, and modeling of data to generate strategic and operational insights for high-level decision-making. - Design and maintain scalable, executive-ready dashboards and analytical tools using enterprise systems and BI platforms. - Collaborate with IT, Centers of Excellence, Marketing, and Commercial teams to translate complex business questions into integrated data solutions. - Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing analytical guidance for planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. - Drive innovation through AI and automation initiatives by shaping use cases, preparing high-quality data inputs, and delivering prototype solutions. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - 9-15 years of experience in analytics or business intelligence roles with a proven track record of delivering high-impact insights to senior stakeholders. - Advanced SQL skills for querying, transformation, and optimization in big data environments. - Expertise with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and data preparation tools like Knime, Tableau Prep, Power Query. - Strong problem-solving skills to structure ambiguous business questions into analytical approaches. - Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional analytics projects from design through delivery. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence and align stakeholders at all organizational levels. **Additional Details:** Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package, including the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
