Principal Software Engineer - .NET full-stack

As a Principal Software Engineer at ABB, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of cutting-edge software solutions for the Process Automation Industry. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing scalable, high-performance software architectures using .NET (C#) and Angular, providing technical direction and mentorship to development teams, and architecting microservices-based solutions for modularity, performance, and maintainability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will align technical roadmaps with business objectives to ensure innovation, reliability, and efficiency in mission-critical environments. You will also drive the implementation of AI-powered automation tools for software development and testing, write clean and well-documented code following SOLID principles, and design applications that integrate with industrial automation systems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless real-time data processing and communication between IT and OT systems, defining standards for system reliability and fault tolerance in mission-critical industrial environments, and actively participating in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) sprints to ensure timely delivery of features. Your expertise will be crucial in leading the development of intuitive, high-performance UIs using Angular for real-time industrial monitoring and control, as well as in reducing technical debt and optimizing system performance. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 10+ years of extensive experience in .NET and Angular. Your technical skills should include proficiency in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, OPC UA, MQTT, SCADA, MES, and unit testing frameworks.
