Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Provide academic and administrative leadership to the nursing college.
Oversee the implementation of the nursing curriculum and ensure compliance with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Gujarat Nursing Council regulations.
Manage, mentor, and lead the teaching faculty and non-teaching staff.
Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and student welfare.
Manage the institution's infrastructure, resources, and budget.
Foster a conducive environment for academic excellence and research.
Represent the institution in various academic and governmental forums.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Qualification:

A Post-Graduate Degree in Nursing from a University established by an Act of the Central or State Government in India; or an institution recognized as a University under the UGC Act, 1956.
The degree must be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

or As per NMC council

2. Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience
after obtaining the Post-Graduate degree.
Out of these 15 years,
at least 12 years must be in teaching
.
Within the 12 years of teaching, a
minimum of 5 years must be as a Lecturer, Class-II (or a post not below this rank)
in a recognized Nursing College.

3. Essential Skills:

Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed by the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules.
Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
