Principal Mechanical Engineer - HVAC

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design calculations and quantity estimations in accordance with the Company's quality standard procedures. Your role will involve ensuring all design outputs are thoroughly checked and coordinating seamlessly with other sections and disciplines. Additionally, you will lead a design team to deliver within specified time limits, effectively managing tasks and overseeing the performance of design engineers and CAD Technicians. Sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues within the section and organization is vital, especially in coaching and developing junior staff. It is essential to have substantial experience in District Cooling Plant design and possess a good understanding of water-cooled chillers, ETS stations, condenser cooling systems, cooling towers, among others. Proficiency in chiller controls, refrigerant leakage systems, DCP piping, and control flow diagrams is crucial for this role. Furthermore, you should be familiar with thermal storage tanks and optimizing DCP efficiency, as well as monitoring and controlling DCP through SCADA systems. A strong knowledge of chilled water supply and return piping systems and controls is also required.
