Principal Engineer I, Scrum Master & PO

As a software engineer at HARMAN Automotive, you will be part of a global, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to leveraging technology to transform tomorrow's driving experience. Your role will involve engineering audio systems and integrated technology platforms to enhance the driving experience by combining ingenuity, in-depth research, and collaboration with design and engineering excellence. You will have the opportunity to advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Research and build software for telematics devices with cutting-edge technologies and features such as communication, networking, and positioning. - Lead the effort to bring products and solutions to market and participate in highly visible demos. - Design, develop, debug, and modify software enhancements and new product developments. - Define the scope of the Product Increment (PI) and sprints, participate in RFQs and RFIs for new programs. - Design and develop scalable, maintainable automotive-grade Linux applications using C and C++ for embedded platforms. - Understand business requirements, associate them with agile entities for planning and execution, and relate to system architecture for software design. - Perform code reviews, static analysis tests, and unit testing of the software. - Integrate 3rd party software from open source, partners, OEMs, and vendors with minimal support. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters/bachelor's degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering, or a related discipline. - 10-11 years of overall experience with hands-on experience in Automotive Connectivity domain. - Experience as a product owner and scrum master in the automotive domain specialized in networking. - Expertise in networking, sockets, telephony domains, and Linux application development on embedded platforms. - Knowledge of Linux Inter Process Communication mechanisms, multithreaded applications, and version control systems. - Proficiency in designing and developing reusable and scalable C, C++ code and understanding of the Standard Template Library. - Excellent written and oral communication skills for collaboration with teams across geographies and stakeholders.
