Description
AECOM is seeking a candidate to be based in Bengaluru or Gurgaon, responsible for serving as a senior technical resource and providing specialized technical input to studies and design within their specific area of expertise. The candidate will develop study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work by others and participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables. Additionally, they will be involved in developing construction cost estimates, technical efforts estimates for projects, quality control reviews, preparation of technical specification sections, and providing input to engineering budget and schedule development to meet project requirements. The candidate will be responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical and electronic circuits, systems, and equipment, including the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. This role will focus on disciplines such as power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems, and electrical installations. An electrical engineer at AECOM will design, maintain, and improve products powered by or producing electricity. This role encompasses electricity, electromagnetism, electronics, power, control systems, telecommunications, and signal processing, with a focus on large-scale electrical systems like motor control and power transmission, as well as utilizing electricity for energy transmission. Qualifications: - Master of Engineering degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum Requirements: - 8+ years of work experience preferred. - Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams for Grid Utilities and exposure to international standards. - Previous design experience with software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations. - Chartership with IET-UK or equivalent. - Strong communication skills in English language.
