AECOM is seeking for a candidate to be based in Bengaluru or Gurgaon. Candidate will be responsible for the following activities: Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. May involve the installation and operation & maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Discipline concerning power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems or electrical installations. An electrical engineer focuses on designing, maintaining and improving products that are powered by or produce electricity. Electrical engineering deals with electricity, electro-magnetism and electronics. It also covers power, control systems, telecommunications and signal processing. These engineers are usually concerned with large-scale electrical systems such as motor control and power transmission, as well as utilizing electricity to transmit energy. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum Requirements Overall 8+ years of work experience is preferred. Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams working for Grid Utilities (for e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid etc.,) for Underground HV Cables design is highly desirable Expsoure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred Previous design experience working with CYMCAP or other similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations, EMTP Calculations and modelling expertise is highly desirable Chartership with IET-UK or equivalent is desirable Very good communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language is mandatory

Role & responsibilities Job Title: Electrical Design Manager (Solar) Job Location: Kompally - Hyderabad Job type: Permanent Preferred candidate profile: 1. Masters / Bachelors degree in engineering / technology (Electrical) 2. Should have minimum 8+ experience in design of Electrical and solar projects 3. At least 2+ years of experience working in similar role. Skill Set Requirements: 1. Candidate shall be preferably from Consultancy / EPC background with exposure to utilityscale solar PV projects. 2. The candidate shall be preferred to have Exposure to the on-site DC components erections works and commissioning of the DC side of the Solar plant. 3. Knowledge in DC/AC/HV side Engineering Specification and Standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, SEC, IS etc) 4. Knowledge of PV Syst, Sketchup, AutoCAD, MS office is essential, ETAP, Dialux, CYMCAP, WINIGS, SKM tools will be advantageous. Job description 1. Design of DC side electrical engineering related Medium and large-scale Solar Photovoltaic Power plants. Ability to provide cost-optimized design of the arrangement of the PV plant layout. 2. Shall be Familiar with Energy yield simulation in PV Syst. 3. Shall be able to select the Solar PV Modules types and ratings, PV module installation type. Optimum DC rating of Plant. 4. Shall be able to perform shading analysis using software tools (Sketchup, etc) 5. Preparation of DC, AC, Aux SLD (Single Line Diagrams) & the layout design for the 3D CAD tools. 6. Preparation of Plant Layout GA drawings, PV Array Layout, DC Cable routine layouts, DC Grouping layout and all other Solar PV plant services layout 7. PV plant Earthing Calculation as per IEEE, BS, IS and other related standards: Earthing conductor sizing and earth mat design. 8. Lightning risk assessment and lightning calculations for design for Solar PV plant as per IEC and IEEE guidelines. 9. String Cable, Power Cable (DC and AC) sizing & calculation; Control & Communication Cable sizing, length Calculations and cable accessories selections. 10. Able to understand and Validate Solar PV inverter. HT Panel & IDT component Power / Control schematics, BOQ and Site accessories. 11. Sizing Calculations for the protection Fuse, Connectors, SCB, SPD all DC components and Ability to select the DC Fuse, SCB, String / Central Inverters or PCS and all associated equipment for solar PV plant as per IEC, IS, IEEE standards. 12. Review & preparation of General Technical Parameters, Design Memorandum, checklist preparation, Equipment sizing and configuration for the DC Component. 13. Auxiliary Load calculation AC & DC and designing schematic diagram of auxiliary loads. 14. Able to do pre-dispatch inspection and perform the pre-commissioning test for all solar plant equipment independently. Coordination and support for testing and commission of Inverter. 15. Preparation of SCADA Architecture DI, DO and AI List. HV Side: 1. Design and detailed engineering of Switchyard Single Line Diagrams and SLDs for ACDB and DCDB. 2. Design and review of Switchyard Layouts: plan, sectional, Clearance Check Diagram, Earthing, Erection Key Diagram, DSLP, cable trench and Illumination. 3. Substation Calculation: Short circuit force, DSLP, Earthing mat, CT/VT Sizing, Battery sizing, Cable tray-loading etc 4. Component Data Sheets / General Arrangement Reviews: Switchyard equipment, Power transformers, C&R panels, Cables and SCADA systems. 5. General Technical Parameters, Design Memorandum and Customer Technical Specifications preparation. 6. Detailed engineering (Primary Engineering) from the Customer technical specifications. 7. Power Cable (HV and LV) sizing and calculation. 8. Control Panel & Relay panel schematics preparation and review. 9. Substation interlocking logic diagram preparation. 10. Preparation of checklist and technical Specification of individual components. 11. Design and review of the transmission line design, routing and calculations.
