Principal Engineer - Bridges

As a Principal Engineer specializing in Bridges, you will be responsible for the assessment, design, and strengthening of existing bridges, culverts, and ancillary structures. Your role will involve undertaking feasibility studies for repair and strengthening projects, as well as preparing new bridge designs to UK standards. You will ensure compliance with appropriate design and health and safety standards, as well as WSP WoW procedures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Undertaking assessment of existing bridges and preparing assessment reports - Conducting feasibility studies for strengthening and repair projects - Designing new bridges and strengthening structures to UK standards - Performing design and assessment checks (Cat II or Cat III) - Participating in preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, and ancillary structures - Assessing bridges, canopies, sheds, signal gantries, portals, etc. - Compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines - Following QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work - Ensuring correct implementation of document control and QA processes - Producing work to specified WSP design standards - Using WSP calculation templates and technical library for design work - Continually developing skills in MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE - Sharing knowledge with colleagues and participating in team meetings - Striving for a "First Time Right" culture and learning from mistakes Qualifications Required: - Mandatory Skills: Bridge Design, Eurocodes, UK CEng - Desirable Skills: Bridge Design, Eurocodes, UK CEng Location: Noida/Bengaluru In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects and collaborate with a team of experienced professionals at WSP.,
