Job Description

As part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC), you will be responsible for managing or stewarding Planning, Evaluation Assessment & Management (PEAM) project teams. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing data collection, collation, and critical interpretation of scientific or technical datasets - Documenting findings in a format appropriate to end users - Supporting the development of successful client outcomes through service excellence - Cultivating insights and solutions, and innovating service offerings with clients and within Arcadis - Leading and engaging with the SHE agenda, embracing diversity, inclusion, and well-being - Managing day-to-day activities and project management within the PEAM team Working Relationships & Contacts: - Project Team Members: Understanding outcomes and expectations for routine projects - Clients: Developing relationships to understand and respond to their needs - Line Manager: Engaging in proactive dialogue encompassing well-being and personal development - Peers: Developing personal networks for professional development and learning - Team Development: Providing constructive feedback to develop technical and professional behaviors Role Accountabilities: - Planning assigned project work and allocating resources for timely delivery - Collaborating with other sectors/disciplines for overall design integrity - Monitoring team performance and resolving any issues - Reviewing and quality-assuring project outputs to meet client expectations - Developing effective working relationships with project stakeholders - Coaching and guiding junior team members for their professional development Qualifications & Experience: - Masters degree or equivalent in Urban Planning/Design/Environmental Engineering - Competent in scientific and/or engineering skills relevant to the work area - Progress towards achieving Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation Knowledge & Experience: - Advanced knowledge of EIA and Town planning regulations in the UK - Track record of DCO submissions, EIA reporting, and managing key projects in the UK - Proficiency with relevant desktop applications - Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, technical, project management, client relationship management, and commercial skills Overall, 8-12 years of experience with core experience in Town planning applications and environmental impact assessments in the UK.
