Principal AWS Cloud Architect

As a highly experienced AWS Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in transforming legacy and on-premises systems into a modern, scalable cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include designing enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS, contributing to governance frameworks, and collaborating for DevOps and automation practices. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed technical assessments of existing applications to determine cloud readiness and migration strategies - Analyze application dependencies, integrations, and data flows to design migration sequences - Develop application-specific migration blueprints including refactoring recommendations - Create detailed technical migration plans with timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies - Collaborate to implement enterprise cloud strategies leveraging AWS architecture best practices and the well architected framework - Design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS-based solutions to support business needs - Lead the migration of on-premise systems to AWS using various migration patterns - Architect and design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions on AWS - Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB - Design and manage microservices-based applications using Docker, ECS, and EKS - Lead database migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL on AWS, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and business continuity - Collaborate and define cloud security policies, ensuring alignment with compliance standards - Implement IAM, VPC design, encryption mechanisms, and logging and monitoring solutions - Collaborate with DevOps for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts using Terraform - Enable CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and system observability using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail - Collaborate with global engineering, DevOps, and business teams to align solutions with organizational priorities - Present architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Provide technical mentorship and build cloud competency within distributed application and infrastructure teams Qualifications Required: - 15+ years of overall Industry experience with last 5+ years as an Application Cloud Architect in a strategic IT leadership role - Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS), and deployment technologies using containerization like Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS/EKS - Solid understanding of distributed systems, message brokers, and event-driven design - Hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudTrail - Expert knowledge in Java programming language with proficiency in Java 17 or above - Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, microservices, and API-led architecture - Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA, and business process modeling - Proficient in working with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills - Strong analytical thinking with a balanced technical and business perspective Education: - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent,
