About the Role

At HARMAN AES, our mission is to help customers to develop and integrate ADAS solutions into their vehicle platforms. This includes 3rd-party software integration and adapting legacy systems for modern SDV architectures.

We’re seeking a passionate Automotive Engineering leader to head our ADAS Domain and support the related Services Business. Based on your solid understanding of the ADAS market, technology and industry trends, you’ll define our future ADAS/AD services Portfolio and identify the required capabilities. You and your expert team will support sales, marketing and business development to roll out the ADAS portfolio to our customers. This also includes to drive the solutioning during RFQs and initiation of proactive pitches to our customers. Moreover, the ADAS domain will establish the required competences in the delivery organization through training and hiring activities. Finally, your team will develop POCs and demos for public and customer events.


What You Will Do:

  • Grow and lead an Experts team supporting the ADAS Domain

  • Define the ADAS services portfolio and roadmap based on demand and industry trends

  • Collaborate with Sales on Go-to-Market strategy and customer engagement plans

  • Support business development via customer meetings, presentations, marketing, and intelligence gathering

  • Develop and maintain the ADAS competency map; drive hiring and skill development

  • Lead RFI/RFQ responses and business pursuits with the ADAS team

  • Oversee internal PoC, demo, and accelerator development

  • Contribute to investment planning and resource allocation

  • Guide Engineering teams on ADAS customer projects and consultancy services

  • Maintain internal knowledge base and contribute to social media content


What You Need to Be Successful:


  • Proven experience in solutioning and business development in the engineering services business, especially related to the ADAS domain.

  • Understanding of ADAS/AD industry trends, especially in the context of novel SDV Architectures

  • Understanding of ADAS related technologies, SW frameworks and operating systems

  • Understanding of ADAS/AD system design (including functional safety) in OEM programs

  • Familiarity with ISO26262, ISO21448, and ISO21434 standards

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills


Bonus Points if You:


  • Have existing customer relationships relevant to HARMAN

  • Have experience in Engineering Services Business

  • Speak German
