Principal Advisor - Model Risk Management

Role Overview: As a Principal Advisor in Model Risk Management (MRM) at First Citizens India (FCI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that models align with business objectives and design objectives. Your responsibilities will include conducting independent model validations, verifying model performance, identifying potential limitations, and assessing potential impacts. You will be part of the global MRM organization, reporting to the Associate Director of Model Risk Management, India, and collaborating with the global team. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting comprehensive model validation by analyzing model inputs, evaluating model frameworks, reviewing model code, analyzing outcomes, and identifying and mitigating model risks. - Producing high-quality validation reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. - Supporting audit and regulatory review processes by providing necessary materials, responding to questions, and defending validations. - Keeping up to date with emerging trends and best practices in model validation, contributing to the enhancement of the model validation framework. - Interacting with key stakeholders throughout the model lifecycle, including model users, owners, vendors, and Validators. - Building relationships across different teams such as model owners, data scientists, Model Risk Management, Audit, and vendors. - Using subject matter expertise to proactively address gaps and emerging risks, contributing to remediation efforts for model-related issues.
