Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Teacher to join our school community. The SEL Teacher will be responsible for implementing SEL programs and strategies that support the emotional well-being, interpersonal skills, and overall growth of students. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach SEL Curriculum: Deliver SEL lessons that focus on key areas such as self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
  • Create a Safe and Inclusive Classroom: Establish a nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional safety, respect, and inclusivity for all students.
  • Assess Student Progress: Monitor and assess students' social-emotional development and provide targeted interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with school counselors, administrators, and teachers to develop and implement SEL strategies school-wide. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support students' emotional growth and address any concerns.
  • Promote Positive Behavior: Implement strategies to promote positive behavior, manage classroom dynamics, and resolve conflicts among students.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices and new developments in SEL and attend relevant workshops or training to enhance teaching methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in teaching, counseling, or working with children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Social-Emotional Learning principles and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
