Position:

About the Role:

The Mother Teacher plays a nurturing and guiding role in the CBSE Primary School environment, focusing on the holistic development of young learners in the primary grades (typically Grades 1 to 5). This role combines teaching foundational academic skills with fostering emotional and social growth, helping children feel secure and confident as they begin their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Learning:

    • Deliver CBSE curriculum-based lessons for primary students with a focus on language development, basic math, environmental studies, and social skills.
    • Create an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
    • Use age-appropriate teaching methods and tools that cater to different learning styles.
    • Monitor and assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Emotional & Social Development:

    • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, acting as a mother figure to help children adjust to school routines.
    • Build positive relationships with students to foster their self-confidence and emotional well-being.
    • Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among students.
  • Parental Communication:

    • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and well-being.
    • Organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops as necessary.
  • Classroom Management:

    • Manage classroom discipline with patience and kindness.
    • Ensure a safe, healthy, and hygienic environment for students.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with fellow teachers, counselors, and school staff to support the overall development of students.
    • Participate in school events, teacher training, and professional development programs.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant documentation.
    • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with CBSE guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
  • Experience in teaching primary school children (preferably 1-5 years).
  • Strong nurturing and empathetic qualities; patient and caring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle young children with sensitivity and understanding.
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching.
  • Basic computer skills for preparing teaching materials and reports.
