Press Tool Designer - Sheet Metal

The job involves performing a feasibility study of sheet metal components and designing and detailing press tools. You will be responsible for creating drawings in 2D & 3D, bill of materials, die layout for stage and progressive tools, and assembly details. It is essential to follow engineering standards for the selection of raw materials and the creation of bill of materials for raw material, individual components, and assembly. The role also includes designing various press tools such as blanking, piercing, restricting, forming, bending, and progressive press tools. A thorough knowledge of GD & T is required for this position. You will lead all activities related to tool design & development from conceptual through detail phases, provide post-design support to development & proving, and design tools for critical press parts with high tolerance. Expertise in 3D modeling is crucial for this role, with knowledge of Cimatron software being an added advantage. The position is based in Chennai and requires 3-8 years of experience in the field.,
