Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Set up and prepare
fine blanking presses
as per the production schedule and component drawing.
Mount, align, and secure
tools and dies
accurately using proper methods and lifting equipment.
Ensure correct
die clearance, stroke adjustment, shut height
, and press settings.
Conduct
trial runs
and produce a first-off sample for quality approval.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic
tooling, setting, or press-related issues
.
Ensure changeovers are done with
minimal downtime
and maintain accurate records.
Follow
tool setting sheets, SOPs, and safety procedures
during press setup.
Inspect and verify dimensions and quality of components using basic instruments (Vernier, micrometre, gauges).
Maintain
cleanliness and 5S
around the press machine area.
Report abnormalities in tools, presses, or components to maintenance or tool room teams.
Support
press operators
during running operations when required.

Key Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of
fine blanking tool structure and press setup
Skilled in using
lifting tools, hand tools
, and
precision measuring instruments
Ability to read
engineering drawings and tool setting sheets
Understanding of
press safety interlocks and EHS practices
Basic troubleshooting of
press- and tool-related issues
