As a Press Operator, your main role will involve machine setup, operation, quality control, maintenance, material handling, safety adherence, and record-keeping. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - **Machine setup:** You will be responsible for calibrating and preparing presses for each job by installing parts like plates or dies and adjusting settings based on job specifications. - **Operation:** Your tasks will include operating machinery to cut, shape, print, or form materials, as well as monitoring the process to ensure it runs correctly. - **Quality control:** You will need to inspect finished products for defects, ensure they meet quality standards, and make adjustments as necessary. - **Maintenance and troubleshooting:** Performing routine maintenance, cleaning the equipment, and diagnosing/resolving mechanical issues are crucial parts of your role. - **Material handling:** Loading raw materials into the press and handling finished products will also be part of your duties. - **Safety:** Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment is essential. - **Record keeping:** You will be responsible for maintaining production and quality logs.
