Pre sales - BMS

Role Overview: As a Controls Pre-sales engineer at Johnson Controls, your primary responsibility will be to support pre-sales engineering for Building Automation System global projects according to country-specific standards. You will handle daily routine activities related to pre-sales estimation support by preparing technical assessments. Your role will involve reviewing project inputs and specifications, preparing technical assessments, creating bill of materials, and ensuring on-time deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Review project inputs and specifications to capture the scope and understand project requirements effectively. - Review MEP drawings, specifications, and SOP to identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors. - Prepare and participate in project kick-off/review meetings with technical queries, compliance/deviations log, risk logs, and record minutes of the meeting. - Adhere to standard estimation processes and guidelines to select the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for competitive bids. - Create bill of materials, select sensors, control valves, dampers, air flow stations, controllers, etc. - Prepare Building Automation System network architecture. - Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, and on-time deliveries. - Ensure timesheet compliance with respect to entry and review for self. Qualifications Required: - BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication. - Knowledge of HVAC systems like Chilled Water System, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System, AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems, etc. - Strong knowledge of BMS architecture with different types of Operator workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators, etc. - Knowledge of network protocols like BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols. - Proficiency in wiring of starters, field devices, safety interlocks & panels. - Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning HVAC & BMS systems for infrastructure projects like pharmaceuticals, airports, commercial buildings, hospitals. - Experience in Automation (PLC programming/SCADA). - Quick learner with problem-solving skills. - Proficient in written and verbal communication. - Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.
