Pre-Primary (PPR) Teacher

As a Pre-Primary (PPR) Teacher at SRMPS, your role involves developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the early childhood curriculum. You will create a stimulating and safe classroom environment to foster holistic development in cognitive, physical, emotional, and social aspects through play-based and activity-based learning. Utilizing storytelling, rhymes, games, and other creative methods, you will teach foundational literacy and numeracy while encouraging curiosity, exploration, and independence among children. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the early childhood curriculum - Creating a stimulating and safe classroom environment - Fostering holistic development through play-based and activity-based learning - Teaching foundational literacy and numeracy using creative methods - Encouraging curiosity, exploration, and independence among children - Maintaining positive communication with parents/guardians - Observing and assessing student behavior and development - Ensuring classroom cleanliness, safety, and adherence to health protocols - Collaborating with other educators and staff for planning and school activities - Participating in school events, training, and professional development as required Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field - Diploma/Certification in Nursery Teachers Training (NTT), Montessori, or ECCE preferred - Proven experience in teaching pre-primary or primary level students - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong classroom management and observation abilities - Passion for working with young children and fostering early learning Regarding work conditions, this is a full-time position based in SRMPS, primarily classroom-based with occasional outdoor learning and school activities.
