PowerBI Admin/Developer

The Power BI Administrator/Developer will be responsible for managing, developing, and optimizing the Power BI environment within the organization. This role involves creating data models, designing and developing reports and dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and security. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Power BI tools, data warehousing concepts, and experience with data visualization best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and manage the Power BI environment, including user access, permissions, and security settings. - Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Design and implement data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to support reporting needs. - Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates. - Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI performance issues, providing solutions to enhance efficiency. - Conduct training sessions for end-users to improve usage and understanding of Power BI tools. - Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities. Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Power BI Administrator/Developer. - Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices. - Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query. - Experience with SQL and data warehousing concepts. - Knowledge of data integration techniques and ETL processes. - Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure) and data storage solutions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: - Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus. - Experience with advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
