Power BI/Tableau Consultant

As a Power BI with Tableau Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying robust BI solutions to drive business insights and decision-making. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing interactive Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements. - Performing data modeling, transformations, and calculations using DAX and Power Query (M). - Integrating Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, and flat files. - Ensuring data accuracy, quality, and consistency through effective data cleansing and transformation techniques. - Creating visually compelling dashboards using best practices in design, layout, and data storytelling. - Optimizing Power BI models for performance and scalability. - Collaborating with business teams to understand analytics needs and deliver actionable insights. - Supporting ad-hoc data analysis and assisting with decision-making through BI tools. - Maintaining proper documentation for reports, data models, and workflows. - Staying updated with new features and functionalities in Power BI and Tableau. Required Skills: - 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development. - Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling concepts. - Expertise in working with data from SQL databases, Excel, and flat files. - Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles. - Ability to perform basic data transformations and data modeling. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Skills: - Exposure to Tableau, Qlik, or other BI tools. - Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate). - Understanding of Agile methodologies and data warehousing concepts. - Basic knowledge of ETL tools and data pipelines. Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field. - Certifications in Power BI or Tableau will be an added advantage.
