Power BI Engineer

NTT DATA is looking for a Power BI Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. As a Data Visualization consultant, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear and engaging visual representations to help stakeholders understand key insights and make informed decisions. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, designing custom dashboards, charts, and reports, and ensuring that visualizations are both aesthetically appealing and functionally effective. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions using data visualization tools. - Create and maintain user-friendly dashboards. - Translate customer reporting requests into actionable objectives. - Analyze and translate non-technical user requirements into report specifications. - Gather feedback from business users and stakeholders. - Utilize best practices for data visualization and user experience. - Develop complex calculations within data visualization tools. - Maintain detailed documentation for multiple projects. - Respond to communication within department expectations. - Stay updated on data visualization tools and best practices. - Act as a data visualization expert for the team and organization. - Participate in project discussions, reporting requirements, and project health status. - Apply critical thinking and creativity to various IT issues. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in designing dashboards with PowerBI. - 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience. - Familiarity with server/database administration tools. - Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables. - Ability to travel up to 25%. Preferred Skills: - Ability to exercise sound judgment independently. - Strong teamwork and work ethic. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
