A Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft s Power BI platform. Their primary role is to turn data into meaningful insights that can be used to make informed business decisions Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. Transform raw data into meaningful metrics and visualizations. Implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI. Integrate multiple data sources, including databases, Excel spreadsheets, cloud-based and on-premises sources. Use Power Query to manipulate data from various sources. Optimize dashboards and reports for performance. Ensure data refresh processes are efficient and timely. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and refine report requirements. Present complex information using data visualization techniques. Provide training and support to business users on Power BI. Ensure data accuracy and integrity. Troubleshoot issues with reports and data models. Keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI updates and features. Document technical specifications, data models, and processes. Maintain a library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets. Requirements: 4+ relevant years of experience. Proven experience with Power BI or other BI tools. Strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
