Role Expectations

• Dashboard & Report Development

  : Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Data Modeling

  : Create and optimize robust data models, including effective star/snowflake schemas.

• DAX & KPIs

  : Develop complex DAX calculations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive actionable business insights.

• Data Integration

  : Integrate data seamlessly from various sources, including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs.

• Requirements Gathering

  : Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Data Validation & Troubleshooting

  : Perform thorough data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance of all reports and dashboards.

• Security Implementation

  : Implement row-level security and user-based data access strategies to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.

• Governance & Best Practices

  : Provide expert guidance on Power BI governance, best practices, and the development of self-service analytics models.

• Performance Monitoring

  : Maintain data refresh schedules and continuously monitor report performance to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  : Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and various business users, to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Advanced DAX and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with Power Query/M Language.
• Strong dashboard and visualization design skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server.
• Proficiency in configuring row-level security and gateway configurations.
• Familiarity with Power BI REST API and embedding techniques.
• Proficient in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Strong capabilities in data extraction, transformation, and integration using SQL.
• Experience with large datasets and performance tuning of Power BI solutions.
